Bowtique offers on-site wedding and event hair and makeup with sisters Meg and Monique Ryan. The pair make an excellent team and can be booked as a duo or solo artists for both hair and/or makeup.
Meg Ryan
Business Owner - Hairstylist - Makeup Artist - Hand Tied Extensions
Meg is the founder of Bowtique, queen of updos, and an overall hair wizard. She is fun-loving, good natured and an outstanding hairstylist and makeup artist. She will help bring out your natural light and glow as she genuinely listens and collaborates with you on her next move to ensure that you'll feel confident and excited about each and every strand or sparkle!
Along with specializing in on-site wedding hair and makeup, Meg now works from her home salon in Beaver Bank with very limited spots for new clients.
In her spare time, Meg also loves to paint with watercolours, acrylics, and oils, and is a talented and established artist!

monique ryan
makeup artist - Hair Stylist - hand-tied extensions
Monique is a makeup artist and hairstylist with a passion for hand-tied extensions, updos, vivid colours, and soft glam makeup. This up and coming new stylist has already won two hair competitions; a gold medal for evening updo's at Maritime Inspiration 2022, and 1st place for "Best Overall Stylist" at Skills Nova Scotia 2022!
Monique has a home salon in North End Halifax and can be found doing hair and makeup there as well as on-site events in HRM. She is now taking on new clients of all types through the link below.
Outside of doing hair and makeup, Monique is also a talented dancer, circus artist, and fitness instructor!
